Find and Free Your Breath (online)

Live fully and breathe with your entire body. Release tension, exercise your breathing capabilities, and discover your rhythm.

By consciously releasing restricted muscles and deepening your inhalations, you can signal safety to your nervous system, lower cortisol, and quickly restore mental clarity.  Finding and freeing your breath involves interrupting habitual tension and encouraging a natural, diaphragmatic rhythm. Breathe fully and live fully. Join live online or watch the recording.  $20, 45 minutes

Start with any topic. You don't need to have participated in prior classes to get benefit from the next class.

  • September 2026 - Self sensing and widening awareness

  • October 2026 – Get into the body and shake it all out

  • November 2026 – Your breath wave and the movements it creates

  • December 2026 – Soften belly, release tension, and self-massage

  • January 2027 – Breathing with your entire body

In September, we'll explore our rib cage and diaphragm.  We'll also do some exercises to learn how to listen to the body and see yourself in a new way. In October, we'll sigh, yawn, hum, and make different sounds with our breath. We'll also do some gentle bouncing and movement with the breath. In November, we'll explore where and how the breath can move through the body.  We'll swallow and interrupt the breath.  We'll send the breath into the pelvis and squeeze the breath out with our abdominal muscles.  In December, we'll work on relaxing the abdomen, shedding our emotional corsets so that we can breathe.  We'll spend much of this class lying on the floor and gently massaging the body and letting go.  In January, we'll breathe with the whole body, allowing the diaphragm to send a ripple of energy out to the throat and hips.  We'll also practice some visualizations to support a relaxed and open body which allows the breath to move and change based on what's happening.
